Founded in 1977 by Rommel T. Naguiat in Angeles City, Pampanga, Motech began as a comprehensive auto service shop originally named Ride Center Philippines. From the start, its core mission has been centered on education and service, which led to a partnership with TESDA to train highly skilled mechanics who were immediately placed in active service centers.

In 2015, the Naguiat family established Magnificent’7 Automotive and Franchising Company to serve as Motech’s parent firm, focusing on expanding through franchising. A year later, Motech formed a strategic partnership with AUTOBACS SEVEN CO., LTD., Japan’s top automotive retail and service brand. This collaboration strengthened Motech’s business model, enabling faster growth, improved services, unique products and a broader network across the Philippines.

Today, Motech operates over 60 branches nationwide, serving a customer base of more than 300,000 and growing. To continually support this growth, the companies have updated its primary purposes of business to build on the original purpose of Motech and to prepare itself for the evolution of the automotive industry. Likewise, in 2025, the corporations have been renamed to MOTECH AUTOMOTIVE ENTERPRISES CENTER, INC. and MOTECH’7 AUTOMOTIVE AND FRANCHISING COMPANY, INC.
